This is a software tool that can restore BKF backup files.
When you follow good backup policies then you are completely safe against data corruption problems! Not so, particularly if your latest backup file is in itself corrupt. SysTools Open Damaged Backup File helps you open damaged backup files without any loss of data. This works with the Windows backup format the BKF. It will also handle NTBackup file and VERITAS backup files. The application itself runs in all versions of the Windows versions that include 98/ ME/ NT/ 2000/ Vista and Windows 7. The process is to scan (there are several scan modes) the backup file, find what can be recovered and then save the recovered files. The scan modes include a “quick scan” mode as well as a “deep scan” mode. A third mode the “partial scan” will let you recover a few files from large archives. The trial version does not let you save the recovered files, but you should be able to check the effectiveness of the software. After scan is completed, you would be able to look into a file to check if recovery is proper.
The interface is simple and straightforward. Even a beginner should be able to get productive with the tool very quickly. It allows you to open multiple backup files, a single folder or a few selected files with just a few clicks. To recovery is possible most often, there can be situations when files cannot be recovered completely. Other than that, this should prove to be a very useful tool in the Windows environment and can save you personally or the IT department quite a hassle.
